5 Shows After Dark: Do Your Happy Dance!

“Saturday Night Live: Primetime Election Special” on NBC at 8:00pm ET. Aren’t they rushing this a bit? I mean, we still have about a month and a half until election day (ugh) so by having this in September they’re really cutting short a whole lot of potential material. Particularly with the way the last few weeks have been going.

“Glee” on Fox at 9:00pm ET. My sister is still on the “Glee” train and since it’s moved to Thursday nights at the same time when my own guilty pleasure hour long drama featuring ridiculous plots, forgettable new characters, and a heavy reliance on musical cues (“Grey’s Anatomy”) comes on, I foresee conflict in the future. Or at least careful handling of our DVR which refuses to record more than two programs at once, one of which will always be playing on the primary channel.

“The Office” at 9:00pm Et. Ninth and last season premiere.

“Parks & Recreation” on NBC at 9:30pm ET. Fifth season premiere. I know many of you have been anxiously awaiting this day. Now it’s here. How wonderful for you!

“Louie” on FX at 10:30pm ET.

Genevieve Burgess Is thrilled to have worthwhile television to write about again. At least for the moment.

BTW @Genevieve, even though I don't often comment on your posts, I've found myself relying heavily lately on your top 5!

I don't watch as much TV as before, so I tend to miss most commercials for new shows, but your top 5 reminds me of what I need to be watching.

Keep it up and please stop taking those silly outdoorsy vacations. Seriously.

Thank you! I'm glad to be of service. And don't worry, I have no plans to leave my cocoon of electricity, internet access, and indoor plumbing anytime soon. Once a year is fine. More than that is just uncivilized.
