5 Shows After Dark: Tastes Like Burning.

"America's Got Talent" on NBC at 8:00pm ET.

"Face Off" on SyFy at 9:00pm ET. 90 minute third season premiere. As always, just the tiniest bit disappointed this isn't a series version of the Nicholas Cage/John Travolta movie of the same name.

"Masterchef" on Fox at 9:00pm ET.

"White Collar" on USA at 9:00pm ET.

"The Burn" on Comedy Central at 10:30pm ET. I've seen some promos for this where Jeff Ross, who looks a bit like Krusty the Clown and Sideshow Bob had an unholy child, basically "roasts" the world. I'd really like Comedy Central to accept some serious responsibility for their part in the degradation of the term "Roast" since they began airing them. First the Friars Club dropped out, then the roasts became excuses for comics to bust each others' balls with only the barest nod towards the actual individual being roasted, and now it's just the title of Jeff Ross's not quite a talk show. Looks a lot like Russell Brand's "Brand X" except Russell Brand occasionally makes the mistake of saying something witty.

Genevieve Burgess can't wait for regular television to return.

The Burn is fucking abysmal. I've had bowel movements that are more interesting. Today. I've had bowel movements TODAY that were more interesting.

My plan was to watch Master Chef and White Collar when I get home from work tonight but I completely forgot that Jeffrey Ross’ new show is premiering tonight. Fall TV season is coming soon so I upgraded to the Hopper so I have plenty of space to record all of my favorite shows. The DVR has 2,000 hours of space and three tuners so I’ll be prepared for my favorite shows on right now and the ones to come. I work at Dish and I get great info on the shows coming up so I’ve got the PrimeTime Anytime ready to record all the good stuff. This season of White Collar has been good so far. I just wonder how much longer Neal can stay in the clear. I also agree that fall TV needs to start. This summer has been full of some really low quality shows.

Not premiering tonight, its first episode was last Tuesday.

That, and Jeff Ross's timing is just too inorganic.
