5 Shows After Dark: I Wouldn't Follow This Guy to the Corner Store
"Gasland II" on HBO at 9:00pm ET. A follow-up to the documentary Gasland which examined the effects of fracking on the people who lived in the area where natural gas was being mined. This sequel visits more areas affected in similar ways, and goes deeper into the political connections between the companies mining natural gas in this way and the politicians who help them.
"Get Out Alive with Bear Grylls" on NBC at 9:00pm ET. Series premiere. Discovery channel's flashiest survivalist gets his own competitive reality series on NBC. It's sort of easy to forget that he actually did do some pretty impressive things before becoming known as the guy who drinks his own piss and goes on such hard-core survivalist missions that only an entire camera crew lugging equipment can keep up with him. But that's who he is now. And this is his show. Enjoy!
"Lizard Lick Towing" on TruTV at 10:00pm ET. Third season summer premiere.
"Kentucky Bidders" on TruTV at 10:30pm ET. Series premiere. A new show about a family run auction house that buys "outrageous" items during the week for their weekend auctions! Filled with the kind of "zany" personalities that will be able to recount exactly what just happened on screen in a way that passes for humorous if you've been huffing paint.
Genevieve Burgess prefers her camping in well-regulated camp sites with no risk of having to eat grubs or drink urine.
