5 Shows After Dark: Can't We Just Give These Two a Talk Show or Something?

By Genevieve Burgess | Miscellaneous | July 18, 2013 | Comments ()

“Big Brother” on CBS at 9:00pm ET. Apparently, this season is gaining a great deal of attention based on how disgustingly racist several of the cast members are. Why people want to WATCH this as opposed to eliminate it from their TV via any method available is beyond me. I’ve read some about it, and if people were actually doing those things on my TV, I’d end up billing CBS for a new set after I ended up throwing my remote through the one I have right now.

“Intervention” on A&E at 9:00pm ET. Series finale. Guess we’ll all have to find a new source for watching people with substance abuse problems disappoint people close to them and babble incoherently at a camera. Lucky for us, Lindsey Lohan’s show is coming out soon!

“Project Runway” on Lifetime at 9:00pm ET. 12th season premiere. Hey! This is still trucking along! Probably just because no one wants to say no to Heidi Klum or Tim Gunn.

“Wilfred” on FX at 10:00pm ET.

“Graceland” on USA at 10:01pm ET.

Genevieve Burgess would like to thank TV for being especially awful this week to help make her little game more fun.

BECAUSE WE ALREADY GAVE TIM GUNN A TALK SHOW. And it sucked balls. Not that that was Tim's fault so much as that the concept was horrible from the outset.

I would watch Lindsay Lohan's show if it were one long Intervention episode.

    You're assuming it won't be.

Oprah Winfrey, Lohan enabler. Maybe Oprah will cross the streams and put Iyanla Vanzant in a special double episode and collapse the whole universe.

I would totally watch a Heidi/Tim talk show.

I've never seen Project Runway. I get the sense that it inspires much less despair about the future of the human race than most "reality" fare, but just not that interested in watching people sweat and emote over a fashion design competition.

i watch it solely to see how innovative or interesting the clothes are. the drama and BS? eh... it can be a fun show if you look past the crap. maybe tune in to the runway portion at the end?
