5 Shows After Dark: You Asked For It

By Genevieve Burgess | Miscellaneous | June 26, 2012 | Comments ()

"Masterchef" on Fox at 9:00pm ET.

"What Not to Wear" on TLC at 9:00pm ET. I can't believe this is still going on, even I can parrot Stacey and Clinton's rules back at people now. Not that I adhere to them. They have an unreasonable vendetta against comfy clothes, but if I'm stumbling out the door clutching a tissue box to fetch the antibiotics necessary to treat my raging sinus infection (so... today) I will be wearing my seven year old baggy jeans and a tee shirt and anyone who asks more of me will be sneezed on.

"BBC America Special: The Brit List: 20 Baddest" on BBCA at 10:00pm ET.

"Craft Wars" on TLC at 10:00pm ET. Series premiere. This is a challenge style reality series featuring crafting. Here's my issue with this (besides its existence at all): the term "craft" covers a fairly wide variety of activities and most don't lend themselves particularly well to timed competition. Like say, knitting, embroidery, crochet, your more complicated sewing projects, etc. So I can only imagine that this is mostly people hot-gluing shit together and dumping glitter paint over it.

"Workaholics" on Comedy Central at 10:30pm ET. By special request, because I'm pretty sure there's only one person out there actually watching this. You know who you are.

Genevieve Burgess does not appreciate your sass. (That's a lie.)

Very loose butthole statement, Genevieve. The loosest of butthole.

    And that's a chop.

Workahoics, though I stopped watching after the first 8 episodes, is a good show. Don't get me wrong, it's low brow comedy. But done in a clever way?

Crafting + Tori Spelling = "Oh, HELL to the NO."

A++++++, Happy Face Sticker, and front of line privileges on sloppy joe day!

I am so annoyed by Workaholics' advertising presence just about everywhere I go online, I'm boycotting it out of principle.

  • Lindzgrl

I don't know why, but I like Workaholics. I keep watching it despite myself.

  • Mavler

It's that guy's hair. It's so bad it's awesome! The acid trip/male stripper joke was pretty funny. Yes - low brow, but it's okay to laugh at stupid stuff once in a while.
