5 Shows After Dark: Ballerinas, and Mountain Men and Bauers, Oh My!
"Breaking Pointe" on The CW at 8:00pm ET. Series premiere. A new reality series (something tells me I'm going to be typing that a lot in the coming weeks as the summer shows filter in) focused on the Salt Lake City Ballet company. Because The CW hadn't been featuring enough underfed adolescent girls in their programming, I guess. There's also something in the description about shattering preconceived stereotypes of ballet so I'm betting we'll meet some straight male dancers and learn that ballet is hard work, y'all. I'm not even joking on that last bit. It really is.
"Touch" on Fox at 8:00pm ET. Two hour first season finale. The show is coming back for a second season so all of you enjoying the story of Jack Bauer and his magic totally not autistic son should be thrilled!
"Swamp People" on History at 9:00pm ET.
"Final Offer" on Discovery at 10:00pm ET. Series premiere. Another antiques/memorabilia selling show.
"Mountain Men" on History at 10:00pm ET. Series premiere. A new reality series (see what I mean?) about actual honest to god mountain men doing their damndest to live off the grid in locations like Montana, North Carolina, and Alaska. I feel very sorry for the film crews tasked with shooting this. Anyway, the first episode is called "Winter is Coming" because someone at the History channel has a sense of humor.
Genevieve Burgess does not appreciate your sass. (That's a lie.)
