5 Shows After Dark: Who Wants to Play 'Doctor'?

By Genevieve Burgess | Miscellaneous | May 14, 2013 | Comments ()

"NCIS" on CBS at 8:00pm ET. 10th season finale. I don't know why they bother making a big deal out of season finales of this show when you know it's going to end up in endless reruns/marathons on USA pretty soon anyway which is always excellent news for the legions of Mark Harmon fans I'm pretty sure are out there. I'm just not sure how many of them have figured out the whole "commenting on the internet" thing yet.

"So You Think You Can Dance" on Fox at 8:00pm ET. 10th season premiere. I think this show has one of the better track records in terms of the competitors working successfully in the field post-show. Well, this and "Top Chef" anyway.

"New Girl" on Fox at 9:00pm ET. Second season finale.

"The Mindy Project" on Fox at 9:30pm ET. First season finale. Last chance to get your weekly dose of Messina for a few months! Oh, and Mindy Kaling too. I guess. From the way some of you talk about it, I'd never know there was a female lead unless I checked.

"Grimm" on NBC at 10:01pm ET.

Genevieve Burgess is not above shallow-watching TV shows, so her teasing is meant kindly.

Comments Are Welcome, Bigots and Trolls Are Not

If I remember correctly, both Winchester boys have been in at least one movie each during the run of Supernatural but they seem to know what side of their bread is buttered. Or something.

  • BlackRabbit

My mom comments on the internet all the time. "What are you doing on the computer?" she says. "Come eat some chickpeas and stop playing that WOO game."

  • toblerone

Awkward. @ 10 PM on MTV.

My mom's a Mark Harmon fan. I don't judge her for it.

Have her watch 'Certain Prey'. That will cure her. Although there might be a small chance of death-but it's worth it. The cure that is, not the...well, the death is too, I suppose. But the movie is dreadful. It's like a student film with a few recognizable actors. It aspires to web-series levels of acting and direction.

My mom is too. And my best friend's mom. I see a pattern here.
