5 Shows After Dark: Don't Worry, Guys, Sudden Time Shifts Are Scary

"New Girl" on Fox at 8:58pm ET. This is starting two minutes early for some reason. Anyway, make sure to turn on your TV a few minutes early so you don't miss the beginning!

"Airport 24/7: Miami" on Travel at 9:00pm ET. Second season premiere. I don't know how anyone works in the Miami airport without going crazy. It's even harder for me to understand how they've managed to film a reality series there without have to have their entire cast involuntarily committed at the end of every season. That airport is enormous and always super busy and full of people dragging what looks like an entire neighborhood's worth of luggage behind them. I don't know how long I could work there before I ended up huddled under my desk rocking back and forth, murmuring to myself.

"Golden Boy" on CBS at 10:00pm ET.

"Grimm" on NBC at 10:00pm ET. SCHEDULE CHANGE! They're putting "Grimm" on a real night now, so I guess it's doing better than they expected on Friday? Let's hope they don't kill the momentum by moving it to Tuesday!

"Inside Amy Schumer" on Comedy Central at 10:30pm ET. Series premiere.

Genevieve Burgess loves it when television networks play around with when they air things for funsies. It makes me feel marginally useful.

Not so much that Grimm is doing better, just that whatever the fuck that dating show shit on after the Voice was is no more (mercifully for the television audience), and NBC had to put something there to fill the hour before the news.

Is the Schumer show supposed to be better than her boyfriend's Offensive because it's sketch?

I am so not here for the Schumer.

  • Lee

I don't see it other than in the dark hair-striking eyes department. The wardrobe department should drape Nick in blues.

Awkward. @ 10 Eastern on MTV.

Are we to believe that Fox feels we'd enjoy their programming enough to give up DVRs? I hate when the networks pull this 2 minute crap!

  • hersheygirl

Not to mention most DVRs let you begin your recording early. So unless you already record two shows at 8:30 that you don't want to stop early, not much of a problem. Unless they are hoping to drive web traffic up from people looking for a beginning of the episode clip when they miss it. Very sneaky fox, very sneaky....

I love Grimm! A very underrated show that deserves more positive attention. Although I don't watch it often, because it used to be on Friday night, but now Wednesday is looking better! Thank you G!

And may I just say that David Giuntoli is a much cuter version of one-time Superman Brandon Routh. Or am I the only one who sees a resemblance?

  • DeltaJuliet

I'm not seeing it...other than the thick dark hair.
