5 Shows After Dark: Oh No, Mr.Olyphant, You Can Leave Your Hat On!

By Genevieve Burgess | Miscellaneous | March 5, 2013 | Comments ()

"American Idol" on Fox at 8:00pm ET. The Tuesday night schedule lately is sucking and I blame "American Idol". Mostly I blame "American Idol" for a lot of things, you know how some people jumped on that "Thanks, OBAMA" thing? That's basically me with "American Idol" only for real.

"The Taste" on ABC at 9:00pm ET.

"Golden Boy" on CBS at 10:00pm ET. I wasn't particularly impressed with Mr.Theo James in the first episode, but as lot as they keep letting Chi McBride berate his foolish self I might keep watching. If they could lighten the tone a bit it'd be almost like having Emerson Cod on TV again. And then we just replace Theo James with Lee Pace and I'd still miss "Pushing Daisies". *sigh*

"Justified" on FX at 10:00pm ET.

"White Collar" on USA at 10:00pm ET. Fourth season finale.

Genevieve Burgess really does miss "Pushing Daisies" and made herself a little bit sad there.

I know they're repeats, but the cable channel Chiller plays back to back episodes of Pushing Daisies on Tuesdays. Right after back to back episodes of Dead Like Me. I'm watching right now!

So far, no word on Wonderfalls, but since I own the DVDs...

Really, FOX? No New Girl or Raising Hope, so that you can have a two hour live American Idol? Can this show please die already. I mean, they have fucking Nikki Minaj as a judge.

    Who Is Drew Thompson, Dammit?!

  • I miss Pushing Daisies almost as much as I miss Wonderfalls...

  • toblerone

Wonderfalls just edges Pushing Daisies because of Jaye Tyler / Caroline Dhaverrnas.

Fuller Metric: Wonderfalls > Dead Like Me > Pushing Daisies.

Cougar Town on TBS for you Americans. Canadians dont get it till tomorrow.

    For me it's

Dead Like Me > Wonderfalls > Pushing Daisies

But this might be because I refuse to watch the DLM movie and I haven't seen the second season of PD..

  • toblerone

In terms of characters Jaye, her family and Mahandra are my favorites followed by Georgia, Ned and Chuck.

Fuller left DLM at the end of Season 1 so I don't count Season 2 or the movie.

  • Bodhi

    I agree 110%.

  • Long_Pig_Tailor

I'd place Pushing Daisies greater than Dead Like Me, but that's because I like to pretend the last few episodes, where things got kinda awkward and rushed, didn't happen. Though I think DLM superiority hinges on the movie not happening, so I guess it's fair-ish.
