"Are You There, Chelsea" on NBC at 8:30pm ET. First season finale.

"Happy Endings" on 9:30pm ET.

"The Real World/Road Rules Challenge" on MTV at 10:00pm ET. 22nd season finale.

"Whitechapel" on BBCA at 10:00pm ET. Second season premiere. I always pause a moment before writing the word "season" for these British shows, because in their native land they're referred to as 'series' aren't they? But then I remember I'm American and taking cultural differences and nuance into consideration is the same thing as surrendering to the French so I type "season" before scarfing another one of those tacos with the dorito shell and looking for decals to customize my jazzy.

"My Crazy Obsession" on TLC at 10:30pm ET. First season premiere. Bit uncouth for a channel that purports to be concerned with education to use the word crazy in the name of a show that actually does deal with individuals who are very likely mentally ill. I expect nothing less from TLC. Tonight's victims are an "airline addict" and "crazy for capybaras" which both sound like expensive and difficult to pursue obsessions.

Genevieve Burgess has two degrees and far too much time on her hands.
