5 Shows After Dark
"Frozen Planet" on Discovery at 8:00pm ET. For some reason they haven't been advertising that the narrator for the American version of this series is Alec Baldwin. While I am still disappointed that the powers that be at Discovery think that Americans are incapable of listening to the velvety tones of David Attenborough, God's gift to nature documentaries, I do approve of their replacement this time.
"The Good Wife" on CBS at 9:00pm ET.
"Luck" on HBO at 9:00pm ET. First season finale and also series finale. The lesson here is that while most shows are free to beat a dead horse (Looking at you, "CSI: Miami") it is apparently unacceptable to beat three dead horses.
"Mad Men" on AMC at 9:00pm ET. Two hour fifth season premiere. Back to the world of day drinking, casual bigotry, and extremely well tailored clothing.
"Mythbusters" on Discovery at 9:00pm ET. 10th season spring premiere. More duct tape myths!
Genevieve Burgess has two degrees and far too much time on her hands.
