“Frozen Planet” on Discovery at 8:00pm ET. Series premiere. This is another series of devastatingly gorgeous footage of nature from the “Planet Earth” people. Considering how long it took to make “Planet Earth” I’m wondering if they really deployed new teams or if this is just footage from “Planet Earth” that didn’t make the first cut. Or the teams never came back, and were just left in the frozen wilderness for years on end filming a billion hours of penguins so it can be cut down to 10 minutes that look impressive in slow-motion.
“The Good Wife” on CBS at 9:00pm ET.
“The Walking Dead” on AMC at 9:00pm ET. Second season finale.
“My Strange Addiction” on TLC at 10:00pm ET. Third season finale. Tonight’s episode is titled “Urine Drinker” so it looks like Discovery’s got some options on how to replace recently fired Bear Grylls.
“Unchained Reaction” on Discovery at 10:00pm ET. Series premiere. This is a science and engineering game show judged by Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman of “Mythbusters” fame. Teams compete to build the best Rube Goldberg device given a set theme and identical equipment. The Nerd is strong with this one.
