5 Shows After Dark: Brace Yourself, Game of Thrones Promotional Material is Coming

"Boardwalk Empire" on HBO at 9:00pm ET. Third season finale. Because they have to make room for "Game of Thrones"! Wait, the third season of that won't be starting until the end of March? Dammit. BUT! There will be an "In Production" featurette about season three with some interviews and other stuff before "Boardwalk Empire". Winter is Coming reports that it will start around 8:45pm ET for those interested.

"Finding Mrs.Claus" on Lifetime at 9:00pm ET. Ever notice how these holiday films on Lifetime still seem to magically center around people getting married? Like, there's so many things you can do with Christmas movies that would be just as vaguely emotionally tone deaf involving families and friends in all sorts of scenarios that seem heart warming until you think about them for more than five minutes. But no, we still have to hew to the idea that nothing is a better present than getting married. Still the "Getting Married AT CHRISTMAS!" sub-genre is a nice replacement for the usual Lifetime sub-genre of "Horrible Things Happening To Women". "MARRIAGE!" is still the primary genre. Obviously.

"The Walking Dead" on AMC at 9:00pm ET. Third season fall finale.

"The Good Wife" on CBS at 9:30pm ET.

"Homeland" on Showtime at 10:00pm ET.

Genevieve Burgess is making her list and checking it twice.

Dude... I really hope the world does not end on the 21st... I really want to see season 3 of Game of Thrones.

  • Rooks

I cannot wait for the pajiba-review on the last episode of TWD, guys and gals. I'm just watching it online and I cannot wait to discuss what I'm seeing. (Sucks to be the only person around to be watching this bloody brilliant show. Dammit, Germany.)

Also, I personally would like to reschedule GoT season 3 giddiness until after seeing "The Hobbit" because there's only so much nerdy, geeky giddiness that my heart can bear.

  • Ozioma

Are you a fan of The Colbert Report? It's officially Hobbit Week starting today, with cast and director interviews and I'm assuming footage from when Stephen Colbert (himself the biggest, most adorable Tolkien fan I've ever seen) was in New Zealand during the movie shoot.

  • Rooks

I am a fan of Stephen Colbert, but due to my "location", it's hard to follow the show. Thanks for letting me know! Then again, I won't watch it before the 14th. I might start to eat my feet with anticipation and then I wouldn't make it to the cinema.
