“How I Met Your Mother” on CBS at 8:00pm ET.
“Monday Night Football: Kansas City Chiefs at New England Patriots” on ESPN at 8:30pm ET.
“Hoarders” on A&E at 9:00pm ET.
“Bored to Death” on HBO at 9:00pm ET. I switched up the order of listings (usually by time slot and then alphabetical) to prevent a “Monday Night Football/Bored to Death” joke happening again. It’s cute, but I hate to see such a talented and witty group of people recycle material.
“Chelsea Lately” on E featuring Miss Piggy, Bill Bellamy, Heather McDonald, and Ben Gleib. I’m not sure how I feel about the Muppets making the rounds to the grown-up talk shows and SNL. I guess it’s the producers acknowledging that their target audience is people like me who grew up with Muppet moves and “Sesame Street” and who may or may not have small children. But still, Miss Piggy talking to Chelsea Handler just seems… off to me. Like Kermit doing the “Really?!?” on Weekend Update and talking about fat children. Not in the Muppet spirit.
