5 Shows After Dark: Laissez Les Mauvais Temps Rouler

By Genevieve Burgess | Miscellaneous | October 9, 2013 | Comments ()

Arrow on The CW at 8:00pm ET. Series premiere. Some of you got excited because you thought this was on last night. I’m sorry you were disappointed, but it IS on tonight! Yay! Archers are so hot right now.

Modern Family on ABC at 9:00pm ET. The show is airing their 100th episode! That’s very exciting for then!

American Horror Story: Coven on FX at 10:00pm ET. Third season premiere. First episode title? “Bitchcraft.” WE’RE BACK, PEOPLE! Hold onto your butts.

A Young Doctor’s Notebook on Ovation at 10:00pm ET. I misread this listing at first and thought it was airing on Oxygen and was like “Seriously? Way to step your game up, Oxygen channel!” but I was wrong, it’s Ovation. If you’ve been missing the strong, confident jawline of Jon Hamm, or the impish twinkle in Daniel Radcliffe’s eyes, this is for you. Probably.

Key & Peele on Comedy Central at 10:30pm ET.

Genevieve Burgess is standing right in the path of whatever wicked thing is coming this way, and can’t wait to be run over by it.

Comments Are Welcome, Bigots and Trolls Are Not

Bitchcraft. That has to be one of my favorite titles of anything, ever.

Thank the gods that FX has a different same-night repeat schedule from every other channel!

  • Sean

There had better be at least one impromptu musical number led by Jessica again this year.

It's New Orleans, come on! There's likely to be more than you could ever want to hear. They may even drag in the Neville Brothers just to spite you.

  • Sean

That wouldn't be spite. I actually love the Neville Brothers.

I stopped watching American Horror Story midway through first season. Is it really that good that I should pick it up again?

Also, Nashville is on tonight. I'm still watching it because of Connie Britton (which is why I watched American Horror Story in the first place), but the music has been kind of awful so far in season 2. There are still super annoying, pointless plot lines. But Hayden Panettiere is fun to watch. She's not a bad actress.

  • DarcyMcCarbomb

YES. I did the same thing: watched the first half of season 1, got bored, gave it up. I just recently decided to finish it ('tis the season, after all), and *loved* it. The first season ends satisfactorily, and then season 2 is just batshit awesome. Jessica Lange is a powerhouse.

  • Pasqualie

You couldn't think of any other shows that might be airing their hundredth episode tonight?

  • Maguita NYC

    American. Horror. Story.
This Covenator cannot stand the wait anymore.

For some reason, I got the mental image of an Easy-Bake Oven...
