5 Shows After Dark: But What Will Kenneth Do Now?
"30 Rock" on NBC at 8:00pm ET. Seventh season premiere. "30 Rock" is officially ending after this season, so this is the very last season premiere they'll have. I guess that's why Alec Baldwin seems to be in ALL the CapitalOne commercials these days.
"Glee" on Fox at 9:00pm ET. Some of the children will be breaking up tonight. I'd say "spoiler alert" except the show is called "The Break Up" so I'm pretty certain that won't be a surprise to anyone.
"Parks and Recreation" on NBC at 9:30pm ET.
"Misfits" on Logo at 10:00pm ET.
"Scandal" on ABC at 10:00pm ET. I know there's a lot of you out there enjoying this, but I have to admit that the promos for this season's big plotline made me giggle a bit. Something about Kerry Washington's character being the best at what she does in DC blah blah blah "but what happens when the scandal she's facing is ... HER OWN!" and it was just ridiculously melodramatic. I'm sure the show is still delightful for now, but viewers should cherish these days because if "Grey's Anatomy" is anything to go by, somewhere around the end of the second season is when Shonda Rhimes really starts to lose it.
Genevieve Burgess Is thrilled to have worthwhile television to write about again. At least for the moment.
