“Prohibition: A Nation of Scofflaws” on PBS at 8:00pm ET.

“The Sing Off” on NBC at 8:00pm ET.

“Top Gear” on BBCA at 8:00pm ET. Fourth season premiere.

“MLB Playoffs: NY Yankees at Detroit” on TBS at 8:37pm ET. If it happens, there’s showers predicted for Detroit tonight because the rain gods are apparently out to ruin baseball this year.

“House” on Fox at 9:00pm ET. Eighth season premiere. I know some people were worried after last year’s season finale that House would somehow manage to not suffer any consequences for his actions and everything would magically go back to normal. Since the promos I’ve seen for this season opener feature our abusive hero in jail… that does not appear to be the case.

Not just in jail. My TV guide says he's been in jail for a year. This will doubtless help explain why Cuddy's gone when he gets back.

Crap. I forgot the Burns doc started last night.
Will there be a review done of that on here?
Also, yay for new House.
I really liked Cuddy, but I'm glad she's gone.
It'll be nice to see where they take it this year.
