5 Shows After Dark: I Covet That "Writer" Vest

By Genevieve Burgess | Miscellaneous | October 14, 2013 | Comments ()

Monday Night Football: Indianapolis Colts at San Diego Chargers on ESPN at 8:40pm ET. What better way to celebrate the approximate anniversary of Christopher Columbus landing in the New World than by watching extremely large men attempt to give one another permanent brain damage?

RuPaul’s Drag Race on Logo at 9:00pm ET. I keep hearing people talk about ths as a “lost season” but it’s not really lost anymore, is it? It’s kind of been found. Also, further research seems to indicate that this is just the first season being re-aired so I’m only more confused now, in that nothing was ever really “lost” and I guess words just don’t mean things anymore.

Sleepy Hollow on Fox at 9:00pm ET.

The Blacklist on NBC at 10:01pm ET.

Castle on ABC at 10:01pm ET. I suppose I could just round and say that this starts at 10pm but if the networks are going to list it this way, then so am I. One minute might not make a difference for most of you, but when we get into sweeps week and “mid season finale” shenanigans involving 5-10 minute delays on the regular, you’ll thank me. Or not, I can’t tell you how to do you.

Genevieve Burgess has mixed feelings that she had a paid day off today in honor of a man who was a terrible person.

If you really don't have anything to say, TV guide has been around for quite some time. This is really a no content column.

Can't help you with the bullet proof vest but will this suffice:

I wonder if Cafepress has access to Kevlar. I think I have a friend in the art services business can hook me up with all kinds of stuff.

  • Sara_Tonin00

do you need all kinds of stuff, or do you just need that iron-on heat-transfer stuff people use for t-shirts?

(Btw, Genevieve, if you feel really guilty you could donate yours day's wages to the American Indian College Fund or something.)

    I guess it just depends.

I used to just make my own transfer designs and running them through a service bureau. That was waaaaay back in the day before Cafepress. Jancey had the hook-up with whatever else I needed for wholesale list, but I think Kevlar is not stuff that everybody keeps on hand. I'm sure there's wholesaler out there somewhere that does law enforcement stuff. I'd just have to blow the right person to get into the info chain.
