5 Shows After Dark: Fox Gives Teens Their First Dose of Weltschmerz

Once Upon a Time in Wonderland on ABC at 8:00pm ET. Series premiere. This is the series that featured the notorious advertisement involving a rabbit burrowing out of Ginnifer Goodwin’s crotchular region. I doubt the show itself will be half as hilarious, but I guess there’s always a chance.

Glee on Fox at 9:00pm ET. If there is a young person in your life who watches this show, I suggest you stock the house with tissues and ice cream and then vacate the area for the evening. I’m pretty sure this is going to be the equivalent of the Red Wedding for the 11 to 15 set. Yes, they knew it was coming. No, that probably won’t make it any easier to handle.

Grey’s Anatomy on ABC at 9:00pm ET. 200th episode.

Elementary on CBS at 10:01pm ET. This is one of those shows I’m always like “Oh, I’ll catch up online!” completely forgetting that since CBS is the network of the Medicare set so none of their shows ever hit the internet. I’d say CBS was the real loser here, but that is pretty clearly not the case.

Scandal on ABC at 10:00pm ET.

Genevieve Burgess really just felt like keeping up her streak of titles involving languages other than English.

I might as well just say it now:

Not feeling this episode of "Scandal." At. All.

Well played, Genevieve. I had to look up "weltschmerz", and now I have another big word to use on my friends and family.

  • SPOILER ALERT: The climax of the 'Glee' episode involves the entire cast breaking into a cover of 'Because I Got High' by Afroman.

I'd actually watch tonight episode of Glee if that was true.

FX and FXX are the biggest non-streaming offenders in my opinion. And their shit isn't on Hulu either. There is way too much stuff I want to watch that's on FX, that shit needs to be corrected yesterday.

  • phofascinating

Their stuff isn't even on cable On Demand. Well, except for Sons of Anarchy. But my DVR freaked out last night and didn't record American Horror Story, The League and Always Sunny and now I'm oh so very sad. What gives guys?!

Hmmm. I know that Viacom is basically pushing most of their other old shows to HULU (at least most of the LOGO stuff) if they're not hosting on their own servers (most of the Comedy Central stuff, much of which gets mirrored as clips on YouTube). Then again, with the wedge that got pushed between Viacom and CBS a few years ago, CBS may have no incentive to do much more than serve YouTube with DMCA notices.

It's all stupid. Their Elementary push strategy last season ("SCANDAL IS OVER NOW, PLEASE WATCH US!") may be all they're willing to do.

  • foolsage

Wait, what? You can watch Elementary episodes online.

  • mrsdalgliesh

Yup. I can always catch episodes there.

I swear to god, that was not the case the last time I checked. But I think I wrote CBS.com off a long time ago because they never seemed to have full episodes of ANYTHING online so I just held out hope for Hulu or Netflix, neither of which have "Elementary."

I was just going to ask if someone knew of something similar for "Real Husbands of Hollywood" and apparently THOSE are also online now also. What the hell, internet? It's like you're TRYING to make me look stupid and I really don't need that much help.
