5 Shows After Dark: More of This Sort of Thing
"Arrow" on The CW at 8:00pm ET. Series premiere. The year of the archer continues with a new version of the Green Arrow showing up on The CW. The actor playing Arrow/Oliver Queen looks like a budget version of Henry Cavil and the backstory sounds like Batman with a touch of Castaway mixed in. Still, year of the archer!
"Modern Family" on ABC at 9:00pm ET.
"Chicago Fire" on NBC at 10:00pm ET. Series premiere. A new show about a fire house and there's been several shows about fire houses and emergency responders that have come and gone over the years. I wonder why hospital shows and cop shows are so successful but emergency responder shows don't work out.
"Nashville" on ABC at 10:00pm ET. Series premiere. Tami Taylor is a country star, y'all! You know that's the only reason you're thinking of watching.
"The Soup" on E at 10:00pm ET.
Genevieve Burgess Is thrilled to have worthwhile television to write about again. At least for the moment.
