There’s always been stories about movies and TV shows where entire characters were cut from the final version. Sometimes it’s noticeable, sometimes it’s not. In the case of X-Men: Days of Future Past Anna Paquin’s Rogue was cut from the final version, which is over two hours long. There’s now reports that a version featuring Rogue will be out this summer and will be about 17 minutes longer, bringing the total runtime of the movie to just under two and a half hours. While that’s a length the Lord of the Rings movies can get away with, I understand why it felt a bit bulky for an X-Men film.
While we don’t have a firm release date for this new version of the film, we do have an image of the blu-ray cover, because obviously the marketing is what’s really important here.
