I remember the first time Tatiana Maslany was overlooked for the Emmys, I wondered if it was more due to an inability to understand how to nominate her rather than boring old prejudice against the genre. Obviously it was mostly prejudice against the genre, but it still seemed incredible that the Emmys wouldn’t want to recognize the work involved in creating so many separate characters with individual traits, mannerisms, and stories. Well, turns out that the Emmy people basically ended up throwing up their hands when it came to the question of which character Maslany should be nominated for, as shown here with her appearance on Jimmy Fallon:

I guess this eliminates the possibility of her losing because they choose to focus on one close rather than recognizing her full body of work, but it also just looks like the poor nominating people were like “Fuck it, we don’t know how to handle this shit, you decide.” Also, good on them for getting Krystal in there. For as little screen time as she had this past season, she was a remarkably developed character.
