Scott Thompson's Delightful 'Hannibal' Post Mortem Chats Will Leave You Hungry for More

I don’t know the percentage of people who go looking for series’ extra features; myself, I rarely do, unless I’m utterly obsessed. The most interesting of what I have seen are behind-the-scenes featurettes (Game of Thrones) and interviews, and showrunner dissections of particular plot or episodes. Usually they’re pretty straight-forward and dry, but provide interesting insights. On the other hand, there’s Hannibal’s Scott Thompson (aka Jimmy Price), who has been conducting positively delightful must-see “Post Mortem” interviews with the show’s cast and crew. Price is often the series’ comic relief, spewing wit and cracking one-liners as he and Zeller (Aaron Abrams) dig into corpses left by this serial killer or that (usually Hannibal). Turns out it’s not just his character; Thompson is a naturally charming and funny interviewer who freely speaks off the cuff to everyone he chats up…and boy howdy, does he love to chat. All his post-mortem interviews are worth a watch, but I’ve popped in the “best of” here. No surprise, my favorite is probably Mads Mikkelsen himself, who is also quite funny, and looks to be having a blast talking to his castmate (if you want to see the one that falls flat, check out his interview with seemingly humorless [overly serious?] costume designer, Christopher Hargadon). I wanted every single one of these to keep going…somebody give Scott Thompson his own talk show.
