A few weeks ago, our resident video editor, hh, unleashed upon you all the 160 Greatest Arnold Schwarzenegger Quotes of All Time, a video that would spend some time as a trending topic on Twitter and basically hit the viral stratosphere (in only a couple of weeks, it’s approaching 2 million views over on Youtube). Seeing as how everyone enjoyed that video so much, unbelievably, hh still had 130 B-side quotes lying around. And so, hh has fashioned a nice sequel: The Other 130 Greatest Arnold Schwarzenegger Quotes of All Time, because you can never really get enough Arnie one-liners in your life. Enjoy:

  • Awesome! Nice work again hh.

    Notes:

His turn as Hercules (first role) is far superior to Mr. Freeze (much later). I guess that speaks to the fact that that Batman was a Chernobyl mess.

Great closing line/scene...and song. Amping up the cheese factor there.

He's a serial animal puncher. I can't remember how long I laughed at that scene in the original Conan because he sold it so well.

    just great

Recondite-I watched Conan for the first time this weekend, and I never laughed so hard as when he called the women sluts and then punched the camel in the face. It was so deliciously random.

Posted by: Julie at April 21, 2010 2:35 PM

    sold it so well.

Sold what? You think he didn't really hit that camel? This was the 80's, PETA wasn't around to cause-vomit all over everything.

I sent myself a text to download Last Action Hero immediately when I get home.

Great "b-side". I especially like the attention paid to Hercules in New York, "No one is superior to Hercules".... or Arnold

Posted by: SackLodge at April 21, 2010 3:01 PM

Nice job, HH. Think we could get a Sly Stallone clipreel, or are we looking at just 10 minutes of "YOU BETRAYED THE LAHH!" and "I'M NOT ABOVE THE LAH!!! IAMTHELAH!?"

Now I really want to dwell into Kindergarten Cop all over again, even if it costs me some neurones.

    Again hh, brilliant work

Posted by: rg at April 21, 2010 5:21 PM

Like recondite pointed it out, it's amazing to see how good he can be in Predator, and how bad, in Batman and Robin, and just downright awfully unwatchable in Hercules

Posted by: rg at April 21, 2010 5:28 PM

By that I mean, his entire carrier is so uneven that he doesn't seem to have progressed as an actor - well a little bit when you take a look at Conan and Hercules - but he can be good in 1984 (The Terminator) and be really bad in the aughts (Collateral Damage) I don't know...

oh D-Day I too I'm going to rewatch this.

the first Arnie quote video produced several mini marathons of watching his films as of late. I'd have to either say he has a gift for comedy, or directors have a gift for making us laugh when he is on screen. But his comedies seem to have more lasting watchability than most of the action films, and the better action films have liberal doses of (intended) comedy.

i've never seen the Hercules one, but this second batch of quotes made it look silly fun (surely it was intended as a comedy?).

    FUCK + YES

By "sold the scene" I meant the way it flowed well with his "fish out of water" representation of the character.

The barbarian is in the messy city, fucked up on lotus and alcohol, and just lashes out at whatever is in his arm's reach; regardless of if he stumbles into something or it stumbles into him, it gets fucking punched when Conan is on the prowl on Saturday night.

Posted by: Recondite at April 21, 2010 9:21 PM

HH you are my hero. On ever level!

what wonderful actor! i can't wait when will win an Oscar for achievement career

No "phased plasma rifle in the 40 watt range", no sale.

Now I realize that I have seen every single Schwarzenegger film. Every. Single. One. And I've ENJOYED every single one. No matter how absolutely shitty a movie he's in, Arnold's just too damn likeable.
