With David Benioff and Dan Weiss feeling free to veer wildly from George R. R. Martin’s Song of Ice and Fire series, non-book readers will soon find themselves on equal ground, and that’s gotta feel good. Honestly, while it’s cool to have read, and to know some of the characters’ stories ahead of the HBO show, it’s also great to have some surprises. I’m not one to lord reader superiority over people, everyone knows those folks are out there — even the series’ stars — and, on last night’s Conan, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau confessed he really likes messing with them. His story about throwing out a quacky clue is pretty damned great. But please, tell no one about that big reveal at the end of the clip; I mean…****SPOILERS:
