Look out Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, there’s a hot, new Dane in town. Not that we’ll ever stop loving you, but if there’s an equally attractive Game of Thrones character who’s not into throwing kids from towers or banging his sister, you’ll forgive us a little head turn. That’s not to say Euron doesn’t have his own faults — ***Spoiler, he can be a bit on the violent side, and ***Book Spoiler, swipe to see he’s been known to have a taste for his brother’s salt wives (whether by her choice or not remains in question) ***End Book Spoiler; then again, it’s Game of Thrones, everybody’s got a little bloodlust going.

Season 6 introduces new crush, Pilou Asbæk (Borgen, The Borgias, A Hijacking) aka Euron Greyjoy aka Crow’s Eye, one of five sons born to Quellon Greyjoy and Lady Sunderly (Theon and Yara’s uncle), properly introduced in A Feast for Crows. Of his character, Asbæk declares, “There’s no one like Euron Greyjoy.” Like many of his predecessors, the actor was a huge fan of Game of Thrones before he won the role of Euron; now that he has, Asbæk thinks he’ll probably stop watching the series.

“I must say, I’m a big fan of the work that Dan [Weiss] and David [Benioff] have created with Game of Thrones, and George [RR Martin] the writer, of course. It was great fun being part of a TV series that I’d been a fan of for five years. I’ve been watching it every single Monday when with my wife. It was like a ritual - every Monday night on HBO Nordic, we would watch Game of Thrones together.

I’m not going to watch that [now]. For me, it’s still magical, y’know? It becomes too real when you watch yourself on-screen.”

Here’s a clip of Asbæk adorably and enthusiastically teasing Euron’s role.

In other Game of Thrones news, Natalie Dormer finally let loose a clue that relates back to her filming location slip. When asked if she could give a hint about Margaery’s Season 6 goings-on, the actress simply said, “I can tell you that Margaery’s problem is not Cersei anymore. That is kind of a spoiler. I don’t think I’ve said that yet.”

HBO’s latest promo features a blink and you’ll miss it new shot of Jaime:

And finally, Maisie Williams also let a little something something about Jon Snow’s fate, possibly confirming fan speculation that the character’s return will find him changed. Watch for the best part, her delightful expression.

(Snowy forecast starts at the 3:04 mark)

Er, ***Spoiler?***
