An Afternoon Comment Diversion / Dustin Rowles

Pajiba commenter, Adere suggested the next comment diversion, which is the flip side of our Supermovie Fantasizing Guide: What would be your personal nightmare film project — the source material you’d least like to see adapted or remade, and the cast, director, etc., you’d least like to see pull it off. Adere, for instance, suggested: “The Acme Novelty Library/Jimmy Corrigan, The Smartest Kid on Earth” by Chris Ware done as a live-action flick directed by Zach Braff, with Haley Joel Osment as Jimmy and Gwyneth Paltrow as his mother. Written for the screen by Sofia Coppola and soundtrack by Yann Tiersen.”
Why you gotta dis on Sofia, Adere?
And for the hell of it, nothing would upset me more than to see anyone, even Terry Gilliam, adapt Don Quixote to the big screen, but I’d hate it most if Paul Haggis got a hold of it and offered his services as writer/director, cast Nicholas as Quixote, Perez Hilton as Sancho Panchez, and Katherine Heigl as Dulcinea. I think it would forever taint my love of the book just knowing that such a project existed.
So, what’s your nightmare project? Try not to give the studios any ideas.

I would hate to see the above pictured "Nightmare Before Christmas" done in live-action with Owen Wilson as Jack, Reese Witherspoon as Sally, and Tyler Perry as Oogie Boogie (because Tyler Perry has not Soul or soul). Or anything from my childhood with anyone from Grey's Anatomy.
