You Won’t Believe What Sandra Oh Won’t Do

Friends, in the immortal words of the King of the Dead Men of Dunharrow, the way is shut…

…for Sandra Oh to ever come back to Grey’s Anatomy.

I know, I know, some of you really want to spend time with Dr. Cristina Yang once more, but unfortunately, Sandra has put the kibosh on that (and I don’t think that a sword or a banner is going to help coax her out of that position. This is not an Aragorn/prophecy type of situation, here.)

Unfortunately, she has decreed it to Extra, via People.com, so you know that this one is true.

Per the article:

During Killing Eve season 2’s Hollywood premiere on Monday evening, Oh told Extra about her reasoning: “You know, I gotta tell you, you guys keep on asking me that question.”

“I just got to tell you, creatively you have moved on and while I know, and I deeply appreciate it, because I can feel it from the fans how much they love Cristina and that the show also still keeps Cristina alive, for me, [Killing Eve] is my home now,” she explained about the BBC America series. “This is where I am.”

I know, I know, this is a pretty tough pill to swallow, but perhaps I can explain it to you, gentle reader, why she won’t ever do a cameo or guest spot on Grey’s Anatomy again:

She doesn’t want to.

Fair enough, right?

So where do we go from here?

Well, if you’re an Oh fan, Killing Eve is coming back on Sunday. So you’ll get your Oh fix that way.

If you’re a Grey’s fan, the good news is, that show is still on the air, too!

…if you’re specifically a Dr. Cristina Yang fan, then friend—I don’t know what to tell you. It’s a tough day for you, but somehow, I know you’re going to get through it. Just, please, whatever you do, don’t go hunting around a city of dead, doomed men in order to call them to arms (because of a prophecy) in order to bring Dr. Yang back to your tv—those types of situations don’t work out as often as you think. Just ask me and my quest to bring back Small Wonder.

Here’s two gifs of the sax dude playing his heart out, from Lost Boys. I hope it helps your pain during this difficult time.
