Twitter Did Not React Kindly to Beyonce's 'Big Announcement' This Morning
After teasing and promoting a “big announcement” that Beyonce was going to make on Good Morning America this morning, thousands of BeyHivers set their alarms and woke up especially early in anticipation of the announcement. Is she pregnant again? Is she about to go on tour? Did she and Jay Z break up? Did she have a special birthday announcement for Kanye?
No. None of that. The big announcement was that Beyonce had decided to be a vegan, which probably was very much tied to her 22 Days Nutrition meal delivery service. COMMERCE.
“I am not naturally the thinnest woman. I have curves, I’m proud of my curves. I have struggled since a young age with diets. Finding something that actually works, that actually keeps the weight off has been difficult for me.”
What apparently “works for her” is eating celery.
Twitter — and a large segment of her legion of fans — was not happy.
@Beyonce YOU DID ME DIRTY MY ASS WAS HYPED THINKIN IT WAS A TOUR OR ALBUM BUT IT WAS A FUCKING DIET— sarah (@biebersniaz) June 8, 2015
Lettuce fueled Beyoncé performances gonna be sad. She gonna have a Taylor swift body, moving around all drained. Coughing & shit— Idris Elbruh (@CapitalSS) June 8, 2015
Beyonce needs to sit the fuck down.— Marth (@Rawbz09) June 8, 2015
Did Beyonce really say the Hive is fat?— HennyBoi (@ProTwoolz) June 8, 2015

I'm just really disappointed because I already knew that Beyoncé was on the 22 day challenge. I lost sleep for this announcement— Jordan Waddle (@TheJordanWaddle) June 8, 2015
I love Beyoncé more than most of my own family members, but girl. Come on.— Kimberly (@KWright10) June 8, 2015
Beyonce could've just tweeted the Vegan diet thing, the whole morning I was thinking the Topshop collab or possibly another album but…— Yes (@BeyGennn) June 8, 2015
Regardless of how Twitter is reacting, I guarantee that the most disappointing organization this morning is probably the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, as the number of vegans in the United States probably just skyrocketed.
The 22 Day Meal Plan, by the way, will run one person over $600 for 3 meals a day over the course of 3 weeks. That better be some damn good celery.
