Robert Downey, Jr.'s Idea of 'The Best Night of Your Life' Is Terrifying and Intriguing

We’ve been talking a lot lately about the group Omaze, who’s been killing it with their super fun campaigns for great causes. This is the group that brought us Harrison Ford’s surprise Skype calls and Game of Thrones vs metal bands.

Now they have a new partnership with Robert Downey, Jr. and, well, the video is the same kind of fun attention-grabber they usually put out, but to be honest, I’ve watched it twice and I still have a hard time understanding what the cause is. As far as I can tell, the video is about:

—Bunnies
—Anthemic music
—Pizza?
—Squeaky chairs
—Telling “Ryan” he can “suk it”
—Hitting RDJ with a Nerf bat
—MORE ANTHEMIC MUSIC
—Pointed innuendos

See what you can make of it.

That was my third time through and I still have trouble gleaning anything through his serious Charlie Kelly energy. It’s fascinating and scary and I love it.

According to the Omaze website (and probably that video, but again, who can say for sure?), the campaign will support Random Act Funding, a group he’s launching with his wife Susan. Random Act Funding is “dedicated to distributing kindness in the form of financial support at a local, national and global level.” So there you have it. Donate to the campaign to be entered for a chance to win “the best night of your life,” as imagined by Robert Downey Jr. To be honest, that prize sounds utterly terrifying. I’m pretty sure that’s a night most of us would then spend the rest of our lives trying to recover from. So, I guess, enter at your own risk?
