Imagine How Offensive The Sun's Response To Emma Watson's Advocacy Can Be, Then Double It, Then Triple That

In the years following the worldwide sensation that was the Harry Potter movies, Emma Watson has been dedicating herself to the kind of advocacy that would make Hermione Granger proud. She’s fighting for gender equality as a UN Goodwill ambassador, while promoting sustainable fashion, and has not only become a positive force for change, but also an inspiration to girls and women, boys and men around the globe.

But apparently, The Sun’s Rod Liddle missed the memo.

When Watson made her most recent visit to the UN General Assembly, the UK rag didn’t cover her HeForShe IMPACT 10x10x10 University Parity Report. Instead, they mocked the very idea that some ingenue would dare discuss politics at all.

Here’s a pic of the infuriating article. Be warned, even for The Sun this is ghastly.

And in the online edition, the tabloid included her charming Lin-Manuel Miranda collaboration, but with this weirdly scathing caption:

Let’s break down Liddle’s garbage piece, bit by bit, giving it all the consideration it merits.

HERMIONE GRANGER has been addressing the United Nations General Assembly. Nope, not kidding.

This isn’t news. She started doing this in 2014, and has been vocal about He for She and striving for gender equality ever since.

The Actress Emma Watson is a UN “Goodwill Ambassador.” What’s that, when it’s at home? I haven’t a clue.

It’s not like you work for a newspaper and so have access to Google or Wikipedia. Sure. Okay.

Anyway, instead of telling them the rules of quidditch or how to turn someone into a frog, she bored them all rigid with whining, leftie PC crap.

Just like all actresses do if people are stupid enough to give them a chance.

1) This isn’t a sentence. 2)

Why do we indulge these luvvie slebs, most of whom know nowt?

I don’t object to them having views and expressing them. I just don’t understand why we take them seriously.

Because Watson is an intelligent young woman with studies to back up her arguments, maybe? But, yeah, I get it. She’s pretty and an actress, so she’s automatically just some dumb bitch, right?

I suppose they got Emma in because Angelina Jolie is a bit tied up with other stuff at the moment.

Oh no you fucking didn’t.

To The Sun, forever may it burn. To Emma, you keep doing you, girl.

Kristy Puchko can’t even sometimes.
