During a talk at the 92nd Street YMCA in New York last night, Allison Williams spoke with Seth Meyers for the first time about the suspension of her father, Brian Williams, from NBC Nightly News, saying that it’s been a “really hard time.”

“It’s been tough. Obviously, it’s been toughest on my Dad, who has been bearing most of the responsibility,” she said. However, she added, “My dad has always been there for us 100 percent of the time, even sometimes before we knew we needed him. And so this, to be here for him, is the least we can do.”

She added that “she “can’t wait until he’s back on TV,” and that the scandal hasn’t changed her opinion of her father. “He’s a really good man. He’s an honest man. He’s a truthful man. He has so much integrity. He cares so much about journalism. And yes, he’s a really good dad, but I know you can trust him because, as any good daughter does, I have tested him on that so many times.”
